Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Curve Denim (operated by Chet Hefton, Anna, Texas) collects when you visit curvedenim.com or place an order, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

When you place an order we collect your name, email address, phone number, shipping address and billing address so we can process, ship and support your order.

Payments are processed by Stripe. Your full card details go directly to Stripe and are never stored on our servers.

If you join our email list, we collect your email address and store it with our database provider, Supabase. Emails are sent through our email provider, Resend.

Your bag is saved in your own browser so it is still there when you come back. It is not sent to us until you check out.

Like most websites, our hosting provider (Vercel) automatically records basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, to keep the site secure and working.

How we use it

We use your information to fulfill and deliver your order, send order and shipping updates, handle returns and refunds, answer your questions, and prevent fraud.

If you joined our email list, we send you your welcome code and news about new products and offers. Every marketing email includes a way to unsubscribe, or you can email support@curvedenim.com to be removed.

We do not sell your personal information.

Who we share it with

We share only what is needed to complete your order: with Stripe to process payment, with our fulfillment partner and shipping carriers to pack and deliver it, and with our hosting provider to run the website.

We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and customers.

Analytics and local storage

Our site uses your browser's local storage to remember your bag and whether you've already seen or closed our email offer. Our fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when a page loads, and product images load from our image host.

To improve the store, we record anonymous information about how the site is used: the pages viewed and in what order, how long each page and section was on screen and how far it was scrolled, which buttons and links were tapped (with a rough position on the page), sizes selected, items added to the bag, whether checkout was started or completed, page loading speed and errors, text copied from our pages, and whether the form fields on our site were filled in or left empty. We never record what you type into a field, we do not record your screen or keystrokes, and we do not fingerprint your device.

These events come with general context: the website or ad that brought you, your device type, operating system and browser, screen size, language, time zone, and your approximate country and state (from your IP address at the moment of the visit; the IP address itself is not stored). They are tied only to a random ID kept in your browser's local storage for up to 30 minutes of inactivity, plus an anonymous count of how many visits your browser has made, never to your name, email or address. If you place an order, the order total is linked to that random ID. If you answer our optional one-question poll about what held you back, your answer (and anything you choose to type) is stored the same way. The data is stored with our database provider, Supabase. No cookie is used for this, and with Global Privacy Control on, the ID only lasts for the open tab and no visit count is kept.

We do not currently use advertising cookies or tags. If we add them, we will update this policy first.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing support@curvedenim.com. Depending on where you live, including California, you may have additional rights under local law, and we will honor them.

We keep order records for as long as needed for fulfillment, returns, accounting and legal requirements.

Children

Our store is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
